The Bridle Bash II, what an amazing party. Burton Cummings & the Burton Cummings band were there. It was super hot. The pool was packed with convert viewers some who include JD from INXS, Miss Canada, Casie & friends and many, many, many more. It was an amazing party, enough said,I was there until the sun came up. The party raised $300,000 for the children of camp Oochigeas. The music was rockin and the people were great. I saw that you could buy tickets from ebay with the starting bid at $1,000!! Damn!

Bridle Bash III

The party was amazing!
Once again, the Bridle Bash ranks as the best party ever & my most favorite. We had a wonderfully great time and the party raised over half a million dollars for the three charity organizations.
Woot Woot!! ♥

pants off party

My invite is on its way I guess...

"I have a Jager machine in my bus and one in the dressing room. I also have a new dressing-room rule, which I started over the summer: You must remove one article of clothing- your pants, your top- ore else you are not allowed in my dressing room. So in order to come back and dance and party you gotta take off some clothing. That gets the fucking party started so quick. Everyone’s walking around topless, and shit’s going, music’s bumping, girls are dancing on the table, and you’re like, Okay this is perfect."

- Tommy Lee tells the new issue of Playboy

i was at a party with obama smoking cigs

My friend had a wonderful dream and this is what happened...

Him:
You were in my dream this morning
Him:
We were at a party with Barrack Obama - but it was real casual

Him: It was at his house and we were sitting on a picnic table
Me:
omg really?
Him:
And the press rolled up and jumped out and started taking photos of us
Me:
how did I look?
Him:
It was nuts - and hyper realistic

Me:
was his wife there?
Him:
You looked great, you were wearing a strapless summer dress

Me:
No wonder I woke up feeling amazing!
Him:
And your hair was long
Him:
Ha-ha
Me:
oh great
Him:
Michelle was not there
Him:
Just Obama - we were smoking cigarettes
Me
Sounds like a lovely party
Me:
I'd love to smoke cigs with Obama
Him:
Ha-ha, it was so surreal
me:
I love it
Me:
Thanks for Sharing it with me. I was glad to be there with you in my summer dress.
Him:
No problem - have a
nice day
Me:
You too

absolutely, a total need for something different

I've always been a little different. I when I little I would mix match the couple outfits Mum would lay out on the bed to wear and make my own. I wore two different socks one time, orange and green to match the shorts shirt combo. I remember it. A parent turned to Mum and said "You're gonna let her go like that?" as Mum says, "If she feels confident like that then I'm not gonna stop her". Thank you Mum. It's important to be different. Mum made the dress I wore to the Notable TV party about 16 posts ago.

The video of the party just came out, go watch it now! Julian talked about the the Notable brand in his toast (3:28) which is my favorite part after Raymi and I at 2:40. haha j.k. There are some cool smart young people featured on Notable TV and I like how Julian wants to give people something different. I think that's important. I truly love the amount of motivation & determination amongst Generation Y in Toronto. There are some really cool things going on in this city. Makes me proud!

you make ME wanna shout and dance

I'm a big fan if any type of dance party and especially improv dance parties. Might you recall the subway dance party? I've seen this video along with various others from improv groups around the world. This one, a T-Mobile commercial was filmed at Liverpool Station. It's my favorite. I'd love to take part in something like this in our wonderful city! Mum sent it to me and I thought other peeps might like to check it out also. Enjoy!

so mature

This ecard is for me today.

This year for NYE I will be attending an intimate dinner part with friends in Queen West. Contrary to popular belief, I am NOT going out for a raging good time as I have been known to do. I have no desire to attend a crazy, busy, mishmash party OR after party.

I reckon it's one of two things:
1. I'm so mature that I am content spending a night surrounded by awesome people I call my friends.
2. I've partied so hard over the past 10 years that there is nothing happening that I haven't already done before.

I like to wake up on the first day of the new year feeling positive about where I hope the year is going to take me rather than wanting to kill myself from all the substance abuse the previous night.

sunshine? i'll need the afternoon off

Tomorrow is going to be SUPER awesome, I'm talking like 18 degrees and 100% sunshine. For this reason, I have appropriately taken the afternoon off. Tonight is going to be a busy one. I'm heading to meet Miss Kingi Carpenter at Peach Beserk on Queen then to the Redwire launch party. Peach Beserk is having a launch party for their new Online Dress Designer. Yahooo! I've loved this shop forever and am yet to own anything. Kingi said to bring along something to print and I've carefully packed this little red number from AA. It's washed & ready to become something new!
I had a lovely lunch outside today. I wasn't sure what to eat and I recalled a time back in Bondi when I was really struggling for money. I used to go to the deli and get a bun and piece of meat and that was lunch for just a couple bux.

SATC - Party time!

I went to the biggest Toronto party for Sex and the City. It was ok. We looked great though!! Tiffany and I went together. She is my BFF from work :)

cut copy and paste my love

On Friday night I went to CiRCA for Cut Copy. It was packed. There were heaps of hipsters and cool kids crowding the stage & stairs. I ran into some cool friends and made some new ones also. There was lots of neon, sequins, and anything that might have rocked the eighties. This, I loved. I wore the shiny late night mini skirt from American Apparel in electric purple with a reversible clutch from BettyKiss. I first posted about Cut Copy last summer. They are from Australia and totally rad. I connected the boys later in the evening and snapped a few pix. The band is made up of Dan Whitford , vocals/keyboard/guitar, Tim Hoey on bass/sampler, & Mitchell Scott on drums. They were really nice guys. I'd really like to catch them at a small venue or a house party. Next time!

going back to school...cool school.

This morning I stopped into School Bakery & Cafe in Liberty Village before work. I was pleased with my coffee and toast. The prices are a little more than most other morning spots but, I liked the way it looked. I checked out their site and it seems they have Friday Night School dance party that looks like fun by the hot babe in the the ad. They way all their stuff written online and offline has gotten my attention for sure. I love the typography of the big 'schoolish' letters and the chalk boards. I think I'll be going back to School.

Thanks Blog T.O.!! Together we did it!!

Live Kangaroos in Nightclub Averted

Tonight's This Is Australia event at Richmond St. nightclub This Is London promises to "transform London into the outback" with DJ Chris La Roque's outback mash-up sounds, a chance to win a trip to Australia and... live kangaroos?

blogTO reader Michelle Palmer brought this event to our attention via a Facebook thread (MY NOTE!!!!) initiated by her animal-loving friends. A number of people contacted the club, organizers and animal rights groups such as PETA, protesting the planned appearance of live kangaroos, which would have been caged around the club premises.

I spoke with This Is London's Sherry Rampersaud, who confirms that "the club has reconsidered and there will be no kangaroos at tonight's event." Party organizers INK have not responded as of press time.

Activism is not usually the main reason why people sign up on online networking sites, but it is good to know that social and ethical issues are being addressed alongside who's poked who and who's in an open relationship, whether the actions of the thread members and their friends were directly involved in the organizer's final decisions or not.

Rail Note #161007

I'm sitting in the subway and find it very warm and awkward. I haven't ridden this rocket in quite some time. Its full of people and glass and their ass on the glass in your damn face. Its weird for me. I never seem to mind if I'm with friends and chatting or after a few drinks. Then, you are not alone. Alas, I find myself between the glass and someone foreign and someone else in a suit. All the time, everyone glances around staring at ads for a therapist, a job, trouble with erectile dysfunction, all in between beautiful blondes and subway tracks. As I was writing this is got increasingly crowded and I somehow feel trapped, but comfortable. I noticed a girl with an olive green laptop bag branded "incase". I like it. Bloor Street, chaos at in between the cars, empty, crowded, now moving. Two dudes are speaking a language I do not understand beside me and it is kinda loud in my ear and everyone can hear them.

The focus group was all about Tylenol. I didn't get chosen for the second hour, which I am grateful for. I gave my opinion and took my forty bucks. I'm back on the subway with a bottle of vodka and two new pairs of tights from Ardene cause I remember Raymi saying they had deals at the Yorkville shop so I checked. Just a little ride now and I'm home sweet home. Back downtown to have a toast and pass by Darren's Snowboard party that Fathom is spinning at later then to StrangeLove. The subway is less crowded now and I like it much more. I realized I was slapping my gum in my mouth, I hate when people do that. You jus' wanna slap 'em. Speaking of, some lady was talking to herself and she had her bare feet out. It was gross.

the people i know in a cloud

This image is a tag cloud of all my contacts on Twitter and what they do. The largest words are the ones that show up the most (in case you are unfamiliar with this kind of thing!). It is evident that the most predominate are 1. social 2. media 3. marketing. I find that the amount of new stuff I learn each day is greatly increased by following these people. The Twitsphere is an ongoing life stream of what is happening in the world around us online and offline. If you don't use Twitter yet, get on it! You can follow me very easily and begin the learning and sharing for yourself. I find it to be the greatest social tool at my fingertips for getting smarter, staying connected and branding. Twestival is a party uniting Tweeps from around the world. It is on Thursday, February 12th. Get your tickets here.
