sunshine? i'll need the afternoon off

Tomorrow is going to be SUPER awesome, I'm talking like 18 degrees and 100% sunshine. For this reason, I have appropriately taken the afternoon off. Tonight is going to be a busy one. I'm heading to meet Miss Kingi Carpenter at Peach Beserk on Queen then to the Redwire launch party. Peach Beserk is having a launch party for their new Online Dress Designer. Yahooo! I've loved this shop forever and am yet to own anything. Kingi said to bring along something to print and I've carefully packed this little red number from AA. It's washed & ready to become something new!

I had a lovely lunch outside today. I wasn't sure what to eat and I recalled a time back in Bondi when I was really struggling for money. I used to go to the deli and get a bun and piece of meat and that was lunch for just a couple bux.

I'm stoked that the weather is warming up, finally! The sunshine was beauty this morning as I snapped this photo of my favorite phallic structure in the world.

I've also been getting ready for bikini season and trimmed up. I posted in January that I was getting ready to have a fit and healthy bod for summer. I got a message from TOsunshinegirl on Twitter that they would love to have me grace the pages again. I reckon I just might do it!

Yesterday was a hectic day. I've got heaps of things going on and work to get done. This, I can handle. Last night I went to bed at about 9pm. This is HIGHLY unusual for me as I am quite a night owl. I got this yummy chicken pie from M&M meats which I love and then dropped the thing on the oven while hot and lost it. I ended up eating a healthy bowl of Ruffles plain with Onion dip.

Toronto Poster Boy is on the loooooooooooooooooose! He postered me again! Moooohaha. I wonder if you can find it? I know he's usually around Queen Street and the downtown core. I especially like this one becuase it's from a post where I wrote "stop working, go home, get outside".

Last night I ventured out to College Street with Sabrina and friend to Orbit Room. I asked the tweeps what was happening and knew that @mrharhar and @40deuce would be there too. Harlen was looking very colorful.They have an awesome band that plays the raddest reggae. I danced a little bit.

There was one really weird loser dude in an orange shirt that was wasted and kept hanging around. Made fun him pretty hard. I also got it on video but am saving it till 4:20 on Monday.
The night ended with a dine in stop at late night Chinese food heaven. It was so good. It was Excellent.

whoa throw back mama

This evening I connected my trusty old external drive to find something and it's like a time capsule. I also realize that I keep everything, take a zillion pictures and am a total loser sometimes. I've been through a few laptops over the years and I keep backing that ass up on the same drive and now it's like those boxes in mum's basement and dad's storage filled with memories. I've had so many different hair colours, lengths and cuts. You may have seen this long red haired one? Crazy.I also saw this crazy streak in the sky just before the sun set tonight. I had a friend that was all about looking into conspiracy theories and she was convinced it was chemtrails.

lovage and chocolate sweetness

Lately I've been listening to Lovage thanks to @jaygoldman. The tunes are a cool ass collaborative project headed by Dan the Automator, under his pseudonym "Nathaniel Merriweather" (he made up that name for Handsome Boy Modeling School).Something else I have alot of love for is my bike. I'm hoping to get the baby tuned up this week so I can get riding. This weekend's weather is going to sweet as. Last night I made chocolate brownies with fancy icing for my roomate. She's sweet.

the final home game kids

Last night I went to the Rap's game at the ACC. It was pretty fun. It was the last home game of the season and it was very energetic. They were also giving away TONS of stuff. My friend from college happened to be tossing out shirts and stuff right in my section and he tossed me this Bosh jersey. Still has the tag on it for $134.99. I asked Jenie if she can get it signed so I can sell it for big bux. I hear people like this Bosh guy.

I realized by the time I got home that I had too many beers which is stupid because I took it easy all weekend. Ah well, happens to the best of us!

it's not that far away

In order to distract myself from cleaning the mess that I call my room I went down to the pool for a swim. The sun was so bright, I'm dying for it to be warm enough for bikini time.

Twestival Update - dig that well!

On February 12th 2009 I was part of a team that put together Twestival Toronto (#twestivalTO). If you don't know about Twestival I posted a bunch about it here and here. Our city was one of hundreds that took part to raise money for charity:water to drill wells in places where people did not have access to clean water. Toronto raised about $10,000 and all cities together raised about $250,000. The event was fun and I met a ton of great people because of it.

I'm happy to share with you that Twestival well drilling has begun. This video is Day 1 in Ethiopia. It's touching to see how happy the village is!

rollin' with ma homies

When I was little I used to cruise around with Dad in hot rods all the time. It was SO much fun!Yesterday I put on one of Mum's old Deuce Doins shirts from 1981 and went for a cruise with my friend Jeff. Nothing like cruising in the sunshine in an old classic!Was really nice out and the sun was shining bright. Lots of people out on the streets.

I know that lots of people have lots their jobs lately and I saw that they are hiring girls here and thought you should know. Since it's Easter the girl was wearing this lovely little bunny number just for you!

afternoon delight

Good day yesterday. AGO was fun, I love it there. There's a few new guys up and they are putting up a teepee in the big open area behind the ticket checkers. I took home a post card of on guy I had a crush on. I don't know why I like him, I think it's the outfit and the pose. I popped into the members lounge with H, he's a member. Nice furniture but pretty plain in the coffee area. I expected a more swanky modern design. The old house, grange, is the original gallery house. It's been restored and reopened, hence why it was so historic looking. I heard from a reliable source that the upstairs isn't open because they didn't have enough money to get it up to building code. They store furniture and stuff up there now. Gehry insisted that they make the house the members lounge. There is some really nice art in the eating area downstairs too. Very modern.

adventure time

Friday good so far. Had a nice breakfast, nap and did my nails extra pretty. Looking springy with the pink & green favorites. I'm off to AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario). Nothing like having a free day to do what you like and go to the gallery! I'm planning on checking out this one again. He's a man on a box on the top floor. I like it. I'd love a box painting of me in a cool pose. Enjoy your afternoon!!

yeah, i'd call it a good friday

Today is good Friday. All that means to me is l.o.n.g. weekend. Heck yes! I went for a walk and coffee and soaked up some sunshine. Then I came home and hung out with my BFF; we look very much alike.

I've been feeling super busy lately and have been looking forward to this weekend so I can chill out and relax. I love spending time at home with myself. It's really important to take time for yourself & recharge. If I don't get self time I get grumpy. Today, I'm feeling great. Happy Holiday to everyone celebrating. I'll be celebrating myself!
