quit your swining, swine baby

Rainy day again. I was watching the news about Swine Flu last night. Creepy stuff. I started thinking to myself. 1. Good thing I didn't go to Mexico 2. Who did go to Mexico that I've hung out with and could contaminate me and kill me? Hopefully I'm safe.
Last night I sat on the couch and and started drawing a comic strip. It's Elsa Cohen's Adventures in Super Blogging. I'm working on it. Here's a first sketch for now...I also took some time to read old stuff I wrote. I hope you enjoy it. I thought all these things when I was 15. I still think it's important to be yourself, I still love McDonald's and you are never to old to play in leaves or snow. Have a great day!

remove ourselves from everyday life

Sometimes I want to escape. Sometimes I want to fly. Sometimes I want to hide away and not see anyone. Sometimes I want to see everyone. I am always different, yet always the same. My thoughts often change and move in different directions. My feelings go up and down and around the corner. My state of mind is a product of my thoughts and feelings.
I've been looking at a series of artistic photographs by Greg Stekleman. They all have a person removed and replaced with a drawing. Kinda like Tom Goes to the Mayor videos but cooler and more artistic. The guy in the one below is a stud. The couch is ugly but I barely even noticed.

Sweet Tasing Vodka Drinks

I sit and drink
and write and such
and around me
is life and love so much
still why and when
I'm tough and feel so down,
not worthy of a crown.
Tattooed friends and vodka drinks
around we sit and share our thinks
no matter what fun we do
its always me, alive and true
And as i sit, the friends are gone
a little drunk, a bit withdrawn
i know for sure its me i love,
but to share my heart, that, i think of.
