"don't want all this cold cold shit "

..'sing it now' this just came on my tunes and oh, how I love this song.

"Throw off your shirt and let's get, Hot hot hot. We've never been, we've never been to the bridge, throw off your skirt and let's begin the rock. I've been to all the places on the block(you can believe it, believe it or not) i like to rock , rock! i like to rock, rock!. Jump right in and in too deep. Throw off your towel and let's get wet wet wet. Bermuda shorts are comin back to town throw off your pants and let's begin the dance. I've been to i've been to all the beaches on the strip and you better believe this shit. I like to dip, dip (x2)

This Pho-tastic one is for Inna!

I changed my status to 'Casie is having pho for lunch today.' I love, love, love pho. I have it AT LEAST one a week.

My friend Inna asked if I was making it myself and to share recipe. I've never made pho. I'm sure it's complicated and for $4.99 at the pho place by my work, I'd rather just order it. However, I may decide to make a pho so I browsed online for a recipe and found one. This is for you Inna!!

Prep time is 15 minutes and cook time is 45 minutes.

What you need:

  • Beef Broth:
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 2-inch stick ginger
  • 2 pounds beef bones
  • 12 cups water
  • 6 star anise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 pound lean, tender beef
  • Noodles:
  • 1 16-ounce package dry, flat rice noodles (pho)
  • Garnish:
  • 3 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 10 cilantro sprigs, finely chopped
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 10 sprigs basil
  • 10 sprigs fresh cilantro (ngo gai)
  • fresh red or green Chile pepper, thinly sliced
  • Accompaniments
  • lime or lemon quarters
  • fish sauce
  • hoisin sauce
  • hot chili sauce
Prep:
Broil onion and ginger until they look burned. Using back of cleaver, smash the ginger and set aside.
Wash beef bones, place in a large soup pot and add water to cover. Bring to a boil and immediately pour off this "first boiling" water and discard. Add another 12 cups of fresh water and again bring to a boil. Skim off foam. Add the broiled onion and ginger, star anise, salt and sugar. Over medium-low heat, simmer for 30 minutes. Slice raw beef into thin strips and set aside.
Remove bones from broth and strain out vegetables and seasonings. Soak noodles in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain. In a soup pot bring two quarts fresh water to a boil. Add drained noodles and cook seven minutes at a rolling boil, stirring occasionally until noodles are tender.
Rinse noodles under cold running water and set aside.
Return the broth to a boil over high heat.

To serve: Divide noodles among 4 to 6 large individual serving bowls. Arrange thinly sliced raw beef, scallions, onion, and cilantro on top. Pour boiling hot broth to cover noodles and serve immediately. The boiling broth will cook the thin slices of beef. Pho is always accompanied by bean sprouts, basil leaves, cilantro and chili pepper. Serve with lime and lemon quarters, fish sauce, hoisin sauce and hot chili sauce. Serves 4 to 6.

Hello ISH! I like to say Styl-Ish!

Check out my boy Ish and his new track that is playing across Canada!

Hot style and hot tracks!

i'd like a ride in a little deuce coupe

Happy it's Friday, I mean Thursday. Nothing much planned for the weekend because I would really like to rest and be lazy and stay at home and show my TV some TLC. Saw these guys looking pretty in the sunshine on the way to work.
When I was little my Dad had a hot rod shop called 'Toys for Boys'. That site is someone else in NSW, Australia but you get it. His shop was B.I. (Before Internet). He made some of the best hot rods around and worked with the now late Boyd Cottington. Dad also worked with the Horton team at Horton Street Rod & Parts in Breslau. Today's sweatshirt features one of Dad's 32's. I'm pretty sure Mum used to wear it.

over capacity!! really?

It's been a hot hot day on Twitter! I've sent a few updates and been monitoring it fairly close today. Seems that there are a heap of active users Tweeting on this chilly Tuesday in Toronto. I was looking for someone when I got a message that Twitter is Over capacity!!

Today I started following The Toronto Star. Great source of news in real time, however, it would be really great if Canada had mobile updates. I really enjoyed getting the mobile updates of people I chose to follow on my phone. I's a shame that in Canada we are so behind the times in technology as well as style!!

yes mum, naked and body painted

If you watch tv or moves you might see my face pop up from a couple years of random shows, background work & really wanting be on tv. I've since chosen the internet and appear here everyday. This show doesn't stop.

I loved this outfit. There were like 250 of us dressed like this for the Beta House party scene at U of T & Toronto Film Studios. It was hot. My sister is one of the Girls of Pie.
I did a show for W Network in 2006 and got to know a bunch of producers etc. One contacted me about a year later to do the pilot of a new show on Slice called The List. The show's all about living life to the fullest. Host Liza Fromer helps people cross crap off their life list, you get it like the Bucket List.

They wanted it to be exciting and a bit extreme, calling me was obviously the right choice. They came up with the idea, told me and I was like "uh, yeah sure I'll do that".
They put me in a big wooden box at King and Bay in the middle of the financial district. It was a hot summer day and like 8am.
I took off all my clothes and replaced them with flesh coloured nipple stickies and a tiny thong.

There was a guy in box airbrushing a business suit all over me. Once it was done, around lunch time, the door opened and amongst a crowded street, mid day, I came out.

I walked a block and back a few times and turned heads. It was exciting. Everyone was doing second-takes cause it looked like a real suit. It was a fun experience, I wasn't even scared. I loved it.

Just got off the phone with Mum and she said " YOU NEVER TOLD ME THAT!" haha

me me me!!!
gimme a kiss!!

today is tuesday, maybe i'll hit up the drum circle in queens park tonight @ 8ish.

it is super hot out.
i had wendy's for lunch and there was mold on my burger bun so i got my money back and asked for a frosty.
the frosty was so so so good. i loved it.
who doesn't love an icy frosty on a hot day....
hmm, i do not know!!!

peace out for now!

Alicia & 30 Reason's why I'm not eating meat anymore:

I'm not a big fan of animals (as pets). I've never had a dog before. My cat and I broke up years ago, she lives with Dad now. However, just because I don't like animals licking or touching my stuff, doesn't mean I want to eat them instead. I've been considering going vegan for a long time now. I rarely drink milk and grew up lactose intolerant. Alicia Silverstone has a great new ad that was banned in the UK due to her being, um...naked. Its hot! In the spirit of loving hotness and wanting to try this out today is the day I've decided to try vegetarian.

I want to eat better, feel better, and stop supporting cruelty to chickens, pigs, cows, fish, and other animals raised for food. By signing my name, I pledge to explore vegetarianism for at least 30 days.

Sarkozy & Palin - Punked

Palin cracks me up. Listening to this is quite funny. She doesn't actually talk about anything. It seems like she is just flirting and doesn't know what to say to him. She talks about how his wife Carla Bruni has added alot of 'energy' to France and to 'give her a big hug'. The Masked Avengers make a good joke asking if Joe the Plumber is her husband. Like that one. She stays on the phone for about 7 minutes. The Globe and Mail published a transcript of the entire call.
Carla Bruni is hot.

going back to school...cool school.

This morning I stopped into School Bakery & Cafe in Liberty Village before work. I was pleased with my coffee and toast. The prices are a little more than most other morning spots but, I liked the way it looked. I checked out their site and it seems they have Friday Night School dance party that looks like fun by the hot babe in the the ad. They way all their stuff written online and offline has gotten my attention for sure. I love the typography of the big 'schoolish' letters and the chalk boards. I think I'll be going back to School.

degrassias - what generation?

I found this little note from my first day on set at Degrassi. in 2007 I was doing a bunch of random jobs that summer including background work and PR.

I started thinking to myself as I sit here in Holding for my first day at Degrassi High.... Here I am working on a show I’ve never seen surrounded by a bunch of people whom either I’ve only met over the last six weeks or never seen before. Its great, as I hear the sound of “Its Raining Men” on the set, I’ve managed once again to avoid being used or getting on camera. It’s a total dream when you get to spend the day sitting in Holding, getting paid to do whatever it is your little heard desires until they call for lunch or “everyone on set”. I’m hoping that today I make to lunch at least. I'm hiding in the back area hoping not get get noticed or called.

Made it past lunch. Thank god. Unfortunately, I had to walk past the cast a few times on camera holding hands with Jessica as if she was my girlfriend. Someone in the cast is at a gay bar with a rich guy and from what I can tell he is barely, if even at all out of the closet to his friends on the show (or in real life.) I wish I had seen this damn show at least once.

Turns out that guy did come out of the closet and I still, to this day, have not seen the show. Something totally 'fab' did happen that day; I was given a pair of boots from wardrobe because I didn't bring any heels with me. After we finished shooting for the day I was leaving the set heading to the TTC with this totally hot babe and completely forgot to return the boots. They are amazing and I still wear them. I will not describe them or show pictures in order to endure they remain mine. (imagine cheeky smile)

black and white and red all over

It's not nearly as warm as it looks outside. The sun is shining and so am I but the air is breezy and cold. I walked past a truck that said 'smart' on it and I thought, hey that's me. There's three more cases of Swine Flu in the GTA. Mild, but still crazy. I don't like pigs. They gross me out. I'm glad I never went to Mexico, I don't think I will ever go now. Not really into dying, there's lots of other nice beaches that aren't deadly. I love this spot in the afternoon. The sun shines so very bright. I just got a cheque for retro pay on a raise, exciting but not massive. I'd like a massive cheque with my name on it. Or a trip. Or a new laptop. Or new shoes. I love shoes. I pulled these red boots out from storage. I love red shoes the most. I like red cars too. I used to think red cars go faster. I've never had a car. I never needed one. I'd like my first car to be a Porsche. Dad wants a Porsche too. Chatted him today. He's busy building hot rods. I like that. He sounds happy. I'm happy too.

mk & a

super hot.

rested and ready to rocksteady

Yesterday was a hectic day. I've got heaps of things going on and work to get done. This, I can handle. Last night I went to bed at about 9pm. This is HIGHLY unusual for me as I am quite a night owl. I got this yummy chicken pie from M&M meats which I love and then dropped the thing on the oven while hot and lost it. I ended up eating a healthy bowl of Ruffles plain with Onion dip.

rollin' with ma homies

When I was little I used to cruise around with Dad in hot rods all the time. It was SO much fun!Yesterday I put on one of Mum's old Deuce Doins shirts from 1981 and went for a cruise with my friend Jeff. Nothing like cruising in the sunshine in an old classic! Was really nice out and the sun was shining bright. Lots of people out on the streets.
Jeff's car is pretty damn sweet as.
I know that lots of people have lots their jobs lately and I saw that they are hiring girls here and thought you should know. Since it's Easter the girl was wearing this lovely little bunny number just for you!

Glad I Found thid Hot Old thang...
